EAST LANSING, Mich. — Claims made in the Buckeye Institute for Public Policy Solutions’ report, “The Financial Impact of Charter Schools” that charter schools are creating increased revenues for traditional public schools; producing higher student achievement gains; and are less costly to run, are without merit and should not be used to guide policy according to Professor Gene Glass of Arizona State University.

 

Glass’s review, released by Think Twice, a think tank review project funded by the Great Lakes Center for Education Research and Practice, reveals the following:
